RESEARCH PROFILE

The first line of my research, partly historical and partly contemporary, deals with the topic of resettled Czechs from the former Soviet Union, especially the specific group of the Czech population, mainly from Ukraine; so-called groups of Volhynia and Chernobyl Czechs, which have become part of the resettlement processes. In the case of both groups, in addition to adaptation and integration, I pay attention to the phenomenon of folk healing in their place of origin, the transformation of healing practices due to changes in the environmental and social conditions in Ukraine, and the reflection of their folk and complementary medicine here in the Czech Republic.

The second line of my research focuses on contemporary expatriate issues, especially new approaches to coordinating this part of the Czech Republic's policy.

As part of my work in Technical and economic support, I process travel orders and related activities.
